FAQS

Extensions

Do I need a consultation before getting extensions?
Yes — all new extension clients must schedule a consultation first so we can assess your hair, match your color, and choose the best method for your goals.
What types of extensions do you offer?
We offer hand-tied wefts, tape-in extensions, and keratin bond (K-tip) extensions, all customized to your hair type, lifestyle, and desired look.
How long do extensions last?
With proper care, extensions last several months. Hand-tied wefts typically require move-ups every 6–10 weeks, while tape-ins and K-tips are maintained every 6–8 weeks.
Can I color my hair with extensions installed?
Yes — your natural hair can be colored with extensions installed, but the extension hair itself cannot be lightened.
Will extensions damage my natural hair?
When installed correctly and cared for properly, extensions should not cause damage. We prioritize healthy placement, tension control, and maintenance education.
What sunscreen do you recommend when wearing extensions?
We recommend using a mineral-based sunscreen when you have extensions. Our go-to is Bare Republic, but any mineral SPF works well. Mineral sunscreens are gentler and won’t break down bonds or cause buildup near extension attachments.

Color

How do I know which color service to book?
If you’re unsure, we recommend booking a consultation or choosing a transformation-style appointment. We’ll finalize the service once you’re in our chair.
Can I bring inspiration photos?
Absolutely — inspiration photos help us understand your vision for tone, dimension, and overall style.
Do you offer clean or low-tox color options?
Yes — we use clean, conscious color lines designed to protect your hair while still delivering beautiful, high-performance results.
How often should I refresh my color?
Root touch-ups are typically every 4–6 weeks. Gloss or toner services every 6–8 weeks. Balayage and blonding services often last 8–14 weeks depending on your look.

Blonding & Balayage

What’s the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights use foils for brightness and lift, while balayage is hand-painted for a softer, lived-in, blended finish.
How long does it take to go blonde?
It depends on your starting color, hair history, and desired brightness. Some blondes are achieved in one session, while others require multiple visits for healthy results.
Why are blonding services longer appointments?
Blonding requires detailed sectioning, controlled processing, and precise toning — the extra time ensures healthy, high-quality results.

Nails

Are your nail products clean or low-tox?
Yes — we use TPO-free and HEMA-free products for a safer, cleaner nail experience.
Do you offer nail art?
Yes — we offer everything from simple accents to full custom nail art.
Do you remove acrylic or gel?
Yes — we offer safe removal for acrylic, gel polish, and hard gel.
